The Mary Beth Hotel & Gallery

The Mary Beth is a new boutique hotel in the central business district of New Orleans, LA.

Named in the memory of developer Robert X Fogarty's mother, Mary Beth Schmidt Fogarty, the space plays into her philosophy surrounding art as a means of connection.

Maya Pen is the art curator and programmer for the Mary Beth, and for its first gallery season curated over 175 artworks from local New Orleans artists. Maya wanted to honor Mary Beth's legacy and her dedication to impacting the midwest by uplifting her own community of local New Orleans artists, all of which echo a commitment to changing and engaging with their city.
